What are STEAM Workshops?
The Georgia Tech CEISMC STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Workshops are workshops for students in 6th through 12th grade. STEAM Workshops encourage students to study and pursue a career in the STEAM fields by exposing them too many different topics of science and engineering along with technology. During each session, students participate in a variety of hands-on activities that promote creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Want to learn about the technologies core to the internet? Then Web Development is for you. This track will teach you the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so you can build your own website. Students will be given the opportunity to host their websites via GitHub Pages and learn about the basics of how websites function and interact with the world.

Forensics...The Science of Crime Solving

Cost: $35 per person
Have you ever wondered how crimes are investigated or solved? How does science-based evidence come together to prove guilt or innocence? In this session we will investigate a case, test and compare evidence to determine who of the accused could have actually committed this crime. We will use components of chemistry, biology, and critical thinking to practice overarching scientific concepts while stepping into the role of a forensic investigator. So, what are you waiting for.. grab your lab coat and your CSI kit and let's get started. See you in class!

Start your Engines with Mouse Car Racers!

Cost: $65 per person
Students will use their knowledge of mechanical advantage to create vehicles that run solely on the energy from a mousetrap. By changing the weight, friction, and other factors, they will compete to see whose goes the furthest!
